The greenSPEED project is excited to co-host and participate in the upcoming “Battery Heroes feat. COLLABAT – Workshop on Impact and Sustainability of Battery Clusters”, an engaging workshop connecting key actors from Europe’s battery research and innovation landscape.
This joint workshop will connect representatives from Horizon Europe Battery Clusters, the European Commission, BEPA (Batteries European Partnership Association), LiPLANET, and Battery 2030+, creating a space to exchange insights, discuss impact, and explore future collaboration opportunities across the European battery ecosystem.
A spotlight on sustainable innovation
The workshop will focus on the impact and sustainability of European battery clusters, highlighting how collaboration and knowledge exchange drive Europe’s transition toward greener, more efficient energy storage technologies.
Participants can look forward to:

A walk-in lunch and cluster booths to explore ongoing projects and initiatives

A panel discussion on “Battery Clusters in the European Landscape – Opportunities and Challenges” with representatives from the European Commission, BEPA, LiPLANET, and Battery 2030+

Short cluster pitches, including presentations from Battery Heroes, COLLABAT, EU INGENIOUS, TWINBATT, E-VOLVE, and The BMS Alliance

A World Café session on the impact and sustainability of battery clusters, focusing on knowledge transfer, challenges, and long-term impact

Discussions and next steps toward enhanced collaboration within the European battery community
As part of the organisation team, greenSPEED looks forward to contributing to the dialogue on how European clusters can accelerate sustainable battery innovation, strengthen the EU’s strategic autonomy, and foster cross-sector collaboration.
Please note that this workshop is open to all interested participants. However, due to limited space, we reserve the right to select participants to ensure balanced representation across clusters and institutions.
