19. September 2024 | Braunschweig, Germany

The first LiPLANET workshop in collaboration with the Battery Heroes cluster took place in Braunschweig, Germany, bringing together experts from various European initiatives and the European battery pilot lines. Organized excellently by LiPLANET and NoVOC, the event provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking. greenSPEED participated with a dedicated presentation, contributing to discussions on sustainable electrode and cell production.

The Workshop

The workshop agenda featured introductory presentations from participating projects, offering insights into their latest developments. A keynote overview by Prof. Arno Kwade from the Institute of Particle Technology (iPAT) at TU Braunschweig set the stage for in-depth discussions. Participants engaged in various workshop elements, addressing technological challenges and innovative approaches in battery manufacturing.

The greenSPEED presentation

Alice Hoffman from ZSW was scheduled to present our latest greenSPEED advancements during the workshop. However, due to unforeseen technical issues with her train journey from Stuttgart, she was unable to attend in person. Fortunately, our colleague Thomas Wöhrle from BMW stepped in and delivered the presentation, ensuring greenSPEED’s contribution was well-represented. Thank you Alice and all partners for the fantastic preparation of the presentation and Thomas for setpping in and presenting greenSPEED!

Our presentation focused on greenSPEED’s innovative approach to enhancing sustainability in battery cell production. By collaborating with key stakeholders in the field, we aim to drive forward environmentally friendly and efficient battery technologies. You can access the presentation here.

We thank LiPLANET and NoVOC for organizing this successful event and look forward to future joint workshops!
