At the joint anniversary event of the Münster Electrochemical Energy Technology (MEET) and Helmholtz Institute Münster, Prof. Egbert Figgemeier (FZJ) presented major steps forward in the process development of electrochemical prelithiation, which is also a major part of the greenSPEED project.
During his presentation, he highlighted the journey from research to scaling-up studies, addressing the critical phase of industrialisation in research. He also shared some of the greenSPEED results on the performance of the prelithiated electrodes demonstrating superior performance due to the combination of state of the art silicon material and the electrochemical processing.
A special moment was the photo with the speakers, including Nobel laureate M. Stanley Whittingham.
